Meath is not a BM TRADA third-party certified fire-stopping installer and does not represent its work as BM TRADA certified or independently self-certified. Where a contract requires a particular third-party certification scheme, this must be identified before appointment and may require an appropriately certified specialist.
Personnel have undertaken passive fire-stopping theory and practical training through the Performance Adhesives Ltd Centre of Excellence, including training relating to Nullifire systems.
A fire-stopping product cannot be selected from appearance alone. The supporting construction, service type, opening size, insulation, annular gap, required rating, orientation and fixing arrangement must fall within the relevant tested or assessed system.
Meath works from the project fire strategy, approved specification, manufacturer detail or other competent design information supplied for the installation.
Availability depends on the supplied design, tested-system evidence, existing construction, access and inspection requirements.

Application of specified intumescent or fire-resistant sealants to suitable penetrations and linear joints within tested limits.

Specified mortar systems for suitable wall or floor penetrations, subject to opening size, construction and service requirements.
Removal and replacement of identified defects where a compliant tested detail has been selected for the actual condition.
Documentation is agreed for the project and can be structured around individual fire-stopping locations.
Meath does not replace the project fire engineer, fire-stopping designer, responsible person, building control function or independent inspector. Design responsibility, required performance and acceptance criteria must be clear before work proceeds.
Receive the fire strategy, survey, drawings, schedule and rating requirements.
Confirm the specified tested system and its suitability for the actual condition.
Check access, opening, services, substrate and required supporting work.
Complete the work to the current manufacturer and project requirements.
Compile agreed photographic, product and location information for handover.
Provide the site address, building type, fire strategy, survey or penetration schedule, drawings, required ratings, photographs, system specification, inspection requirements, access restrictions and programme.
Some clients, insurers, specifications or procurement routes require installation by a contractor certified under a named third-party scheme. Meath will not describe PAL or product training as equivalent to BM TRADA certification.
If the specified certification is mandatory, the delivery route must be agreed before work is offered or instructed.
